If you have been following swimming, especially in the breaststroke and IM events, the name Josh Prenot is not unknown.
Josh swam for the Bears at University of California, Berkeley where his swimming career truly flourished. There, he was a multiple Pac 12 and NCAA champion in the 200 Breaststroke and 400IM. He was one of Cal’s top scorers through his college career.
He then went on to not only compete in the 2016 Olympic Games, but earn a Silver medal in the 200m Breaststroke and remains the American Record Holder in that event. Josh has demonstrated efficiency through his endurance and is extremely experienced in race strategy. His beautiful technique has also contributed to his speed in the water.
Prenot is a leader by nature and represents a hard working role model who knows how to engage and teach younger swimmers. He has an incredibly strong mentality that is goal driven and easily motivated. Josh is a passionate swimmer who is a proud member of Team USA.
