EXPERIENCE
Tina Bechtel is the epitome of a tough, strong, endurance-based swimmer. Her best event is everyone’s most dreaded event: The 200 Butterfly.
Throughout her swimming career, Tina has maximized her rhythm, breath control, bodyline and core, and streamline dolphin kicks to earn her a place on the USA National Team for two years.
Tina finished 5th place in the 200M Butterfly at the 2016 Olympic Trials during her outstanding college career. While swimming at the University of Kentucky, Tina locked down an array of titles in the 200Fly, including NCAA Runner up, SEC Champion, and even SEC swimmer of the week multiple times.
Tina brings a great technical eye to clinics- but also very high level race strategy experience. As everyone in the swimming world knows, 200 yard and meter events are all approached with a great deal of strategy. Tina is ready to show younger athletes some key drills that can take their butterfly to the next level, along with middle distance racing!
