Experience

Breeja Larson brings Olympic-level experience, technical insight, and a joyful coaching presence to Fitter & Faster Swim Clinics. After her collegiate career at Texas A&M, where she competed in distance freestyle and breaststroke, Breeja began sharing her knowledge with age group swimmers through clinics across the country.

Breeja is known for using colorful examples and imagination to help swimmers understand body control, efficiency, and movement in the water. She makes complex technical ideas feel approachable, especially for young athletes who are still learning how their bodies move.

At each clinic, Breeja assesses swimmers individually and tailors feedback to their unique physiology. She encourages athletes not to simply copy someone else’s stroke, but to learn how to trust their own body and understand what works best for them.

Larson represented the United States at the 2012 London Olympics, earning a gold medal in the 4×100-meter medley relay. Her path to the Olympic team was anything but ordinary: she did not begin year-round club swimming until her senior year of high school, then used drive, confidence, hard work, and the support of coaches and teammates to rise rapidly through the sport.

Breeja also emphasizes the power of mindset. She encourages swimmers to use visualization, positivity, and mental preparation so they can feel calm, confident, and ready in competitive environments.

From the Clinician

Learning Through Imagination

I love to use colorful examples and challenge swimmers to use their imagination. Body control is a hard concept for young athletes to grasp, so I use examples from everyday life to help kids connect their body position with how efficiently they move through the water.

Trust Your Own Stroke

You have to learn to trust in your own body and how it executes a stroke. I want swimmers to feel confident enough to ask questions, challenge instruction when something does not feel right, and discover what works for them.

Keeping the Joy in Swimming

I want clinics to be technical, meaningful, and fun. I do not want to destroy the play in the child when they are in the water.

Parent Reviews

My daughter left the camp noticeably more confident, especially in her breaststroke and starts. The individualized instruction made a huge difference. She felt seen and supported, and that boosted her belief in herself right away.

Rebekah, Concord

Breeja and Brandon provided clear details, recommendations, and examples. Both coaches were in the pool with the kids, paid attention to each swimmer’s progress, and gave feedback that helped improve breaststroke.

Denis, Concord

Breeja and Zoe were excellent teachers: knowledgeable, patient, and encouraging. My daughter came away with technical improvements and more individual attention than I expected.

Miranda, Ellisville

Breeja Larson is an excellent human being. She clearly has the knowledge, and more than that, she has the ability to convey that knowledge in a positive way to swimmers at multiple levels.

Out of the Fitter & Faster clinics we have attended, this was by far my daughter’s favorite. Great content, drills, and mental strategies. Breeja was really inspiring to my swimmer.
