Bio

Gregg Troy is one of the most successful and legendary swimming coaches in American history. A former collegiate swimmer and team captain at TCU, Coach Troy first established his coaching dominance at the prestigious Bolles School in Jacksonville, Florida. During his 20-year tenure, the program became an absolute dynasty, capturing 26 state championships and developing future international superstars. In 1998, he took the helm of the University of Florida Gators, where he spent two decades building one of the premier collegiate powerhouses in the NCAA, highlighted by an NCAA Women’s National Championship in 2010 and countless SEC titles.

On the international stage, Coach Troy has represented Team USA at the absolute highest levels. He served as the Assistant Coach for the U.S. Olympic Team in 1996 and 2008 before being named the Head Coach of the U.S. Olympic Men’s Team for the 2012 London Games. Throughout his storied career, he has coached over 68 Olympians, including generational talents like Ryan Lochte, Caeleb Dressel, and Elizabeth Beisel. Known for his unapologetically grueling training sets, unmatched conditioning standards, and unique ability to extract greatness from his athletes, Coach Troy brings a masterclass in elite work ethic, race preparation, and championship mentality to the pool deck.
