The Story Behind the Success
Jake Foster is a World Championship Gold Medalist, a multi-time NCAA All-American, and one of the premier breaststroke specialists in the United States. Hailing from Cincinnati, Ohio, Jake grew up swimming for the renowned Mason Manta Rays. Together with his younger brother, Carson, Jake established himself as a top-tier national recruit and a dominant age-group force in the breaststroke and individual medley events.
At the University of Texas, Jake thrived under the legendary Eddie Reese. He became a fixture for the Longhorns on the national stage, earning numerous All-American honors, capturing Big 12 Conference titles, and playing a key role in Texas capturing an NCAA team championship. Remarkably, Jake achieved all of this while navigating a highly demanding pre-med academic schedule. Earning First-Team Academic All-American honors and the prestigious NCAA Elite 90 Award, Jake proved that elite athletics and elite academics can go hand-in-hand at the highest level.
After completing his undergraduate degree in biology, Jake deferred medical school to fully commit to his professional swimming career. That dedication paid off tremendously when he represented Team USA at the 2024 World Aquatics Championships in Doha, Qatar, where he reached the finals in his individual breaststroke events and captured a Gold medal as part of the 4x100m medley relay.
