Jason Lezak is an eight-time Olympic medalist, four-time Olympic Gold Medalist, and International Swimming Hall of Fame inductee. Hailing from Irvine, California, Jason developed into one of the world’s premier freestyle sprinters after competing at UC Santa Barbara. At UCSB, he earned NCAA All-American honors and multiple Big West Conference titles, laying the foundation for an extraordinary international swimming career.
Representing Team USA across four consecutive Olympic Games, Jason became one of the most accomplished relay swimmers in history. His defining moment came at the 2008 Beijing Olympics in the 4x100m freestyle relay. Diving in nearly a full body length behind the French team, Jason delivered an astonishing 46.06-second anchor split to secure Gold for Team USA. His performance helped keep Michael Phelps’ historic eight-gold-medal pursuit alive and remains one of the most celebrated moments in Olympic swimming history.
Following his retirement from competitive swimming, Jason remained deeply involved in the sport. He served as General Manager of the International Swimming League’s Cali Condors, helping guide the team to an ISL Championship. His experience as both an Olympic champion and professional team leader gives him a unique perspective on technique, racing strategy, and performing when it matters most.
As a Fitter & Faster clinician, Jason shares the techniques, racing strategies, and lessons that helped define his Olympic career. Through hands-on instruction and individualized feedback, he helps swimmers refine their freestyle technique, develop speed, and build confidence in their ability to perform under pressure.
