Kaiser Neverman is a graduate of the University of Minnesota, where he was a time Big Ten finalist, NCAA individual qualifier, and holds school records in the 200 fly, 200 IM, 200 medley relay, and 800 free relay. Kaiser recognizes committing to the University of Minnesota as a transformative moment in his swimming career. While qualifying for the 2024 Olympic Trials and NCAA Championships his junior and senior year are among his proudest moments, the relationships built and personal skills gained what he credits swimming with, saying “I have gained so many important relationships and have learned about self-discipline and time management because of swimming.”
Coaches that had a significant impact on his life inspired Kaiser to teach the next generation of swimmers. He is passionate about working with young athletes and wants to positively impact as many as possible. Of his teaching style in Fitter & Faster clinics he says, “I’m a good listener and can adjust my teaching as I learn how clinic participants learn. This helps me adapt to the circumstances and teach everyone to my best ability.”
Acknowledging the challenging aspects of swimming, Kaiser says he learned to focus as much as possible to create an environment in which he could thrive. He shares this with Fitter & Faster clinic participants telling them, “Swimming is very mental, and mindset is so important. You have to want it more than the other person and work harder, as someone out there is doing their best to do more than you. Don’t let that happen.”
