Kalli’s teaching philosophy is rooted in her own journey and her belief in the power of swimming to build confidence and perseverance. As a psychology graduate with a specialization in childhood development and a current masters student in early elementary education, she understands that to fully comprehend something, an individual needs to enjoy what they are doing. Her goal is to create an environment where every individual feels comfortable, regardless of whether they are having an extremely hard day or their best one. She believes that swimming can be a safe space and a vehicle for growth, determination, and self-belief.

Having started swimming at a young age after teaching herself from YouTube videos, Kalli understands the importance of a helping hand and aims to be that for her students. With 16 years of diverse swimming experience and having worked with Wolverine Clinics and Michigan camps, she is dedicated to teaching the next generation of fast, happy, and healthy swimmers.

Her advice to all participants is to always have fun. She encourages swimmers to find joy in the sport, whether it’s going fast, working on details, or being part of a team. She also emphasizes that a person’s value is not reflective of their swimming performance, and it’s important to be proud of yourself along the way. As she puts it, “Everything happens for a reason.”
